Credit List (for yourself) Karla (2006) Producer, Vlad (2003) Producer for Quantum Entertainment
What has your company produced? For what studios or networks? Upfront Pictures has a co-development and co-production deal with Quantum Entertainment.

Upfront Pictures has developed and co-produced both credits listed above.  Currently Upfront Pictures is developing a slate of literary properties and is being backed by a creative finance fund called Upfront 1 Partners.

We are in pre-production on a television pilot called “Beverly Hills Guest House.”

We currently have a two Cornell Woolrich novels being adapted which are slated for production in 2017.

What genres are you looking for? We are currently looking for high concept sci-fi, action thrillers, horror and character driven drama.  We are also interested in meeting with writers who have written screenplays or teleplays adapted from Novels, short stories or novellas.
Film, TV, New Media, Other? We are currently in pre-production of a scripted comedy called Beverly Hills Guest House and are also interested in speaking with writers with episodic teleplays
Budget range? 5m to 30m
What makes the ideal writer for your company? We are interested in writers who are willing to work with our team of writers and producers for the greater good of the project.  One who understands the development process or is willing to learn.
What are your goals for the Great American PitchFest? I’d like to be able to option a few quality screenplays/teleplays which are fully developed and ready for packaging.  I’d also like to option a few screenplays that Upfront Pictures could development, package and get into production using our independent film finance model of Foreign pre-sales, tax rebates and private equity co-production partners.
Have you had success at pitching events before? I actually met the writer of Vlad (MIchael Sellers) at a small pitchfest in 2001 in New York City.
Do you have any GAPF success stories you can share with us from previous years? This would be my first GAPF pitch fest.
Is there any advice you would like to offer the writers who are pitching you? Part of our process is for my team to provide me with coverage on all the screenplays that are submitted by writers.  This way, if we choose not to option the screenplay we can still provide the writer multiple professional notes with comprehensive coverage.
