How many writers do you represent? 17
What is your percentage? 10% commission
How much promotion do you do for your clients? How much do you expect them to do? We make a strong social media effort, regularly pitch our clients in 3-5 pitch meetings per week, and attend as many client events as possible. We also target our outreach for specific clients based on a thorough analysis of their branding and relationships.

We expect our clients to take their social media and overall brand very seriously by being active in all areas. We also encourage our clients to be proactive about their entertainment relationships.

What do you look for in the writers you choose to represent? What should they look for when trying to choose an agent? Things we look for: A strong voice or through-line in their material, willingness to take feedback and notes, strong communication skills

Things to look for in a manager: someone who gives great notes, someone who “gets you,” someone who hustles for you, someone who is behind you 100%

What type of material are you looking for? All types, however we presently tend draw toward ideas with the following characteristics:

Indie films

High quality material

Contained scripts

Establish a world

Unique perspective

A subtle but clear social impact

A strong narrative

Female-led

How long are the terms of signing on with you? Annual
Are you looking for interns? 2 days per week. Hours of operation: 10am – 7pm.

Unpaid internship preferably for school credit.

Talent Management Company based in Santa Monica is seeking an LA based intern to support our literary team and clients (Writers, Directors, Casting Directors & Producers).

This is NOT a coffee-running position, it is an immersive learning experience.

Tasks include conducting research on all of the major “players” of the entertainment industry for potential industry collaborators, becoming familiar with the day-to-day challenges and solutions involved in media development, funding and distribution and keeping us informed about industry trends through reading and summarizing the trades. There will also be script coverage and project development opportunities for the right candidate.

Required: Proficiency in Dropbox and google drive. Skilled on a Mac, MS Office & Photoshop.

Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and script coverage

**Relevant resume and a minimum of 3 references required for consideration.

Do you only represent screenwriters, or do you rep other types of writers? We support multi-hyphenates in every way we can artistically, based on their individual interests.
Do you represent other types of talent? (Directors, Actors, etc.) Yes, we represent producers, directors, casting directors, and actors.
Have you had success at pitching events before? This is the first time we are participating actively.
Do you have any GAPF success stories you can share with us from previous years? N/A
Is there any advice you would like to offer the writers who are pitching you? Try and be memorable with your pitch ideas and do your research. In a pitch setting, soft skills, such as being able to read the interests of the person you’re pitching to, are just as important as the hard skills of effectively communicating your ideas and having materials on-hand.
